The minister designated, Prof. Anwuka Anthony has urged the Federal government to declare a state of emergency in the educational sector.

The academic made the advise while answering questions from the Senate during his screening. To the Professor, there a need to take a total look into the educational sector because, the industry is embedded with a lot of challenges ranging from infrastructure to policies with are not encouraging the educational sector.

According to him, " there is no link between the school system and what the students want to learn and this has resulted to disconnection in the industry," the Professor submitted.

Hence, he further clarify that inculcating native language into the school curriculum is at the nation's wish.
