Taraba Election Tribunal: APC Raises Concern over Violence in Wukari Community

Taraba State chapter of the All Progressives  Congress (APC), has expressed concern over the out-break of violent protests last Sunday in Wukari Local Government Area, describing it as the handwork of frustrated politicians with the sole aim of creating chaos and uncertainty.
In a statement issued in Abuja on monday by the state Chairman of APC in Taraba State, Hassan Jika Ardo, regretted that the protest was being used to unleash arson and violence on law-abiding citizens to trigger a bigger crisis to slur the judgment of the governorship election tribunal.
“The leadership of the APC in Taraba State wishes to alert the public that the unfortunate eruption of violence on Sunday in Wukari Local Government Area, following  the news of the judgment of the governorship election tribunal was orchestrate by frustrated politicians with the sole aim of creating chaos and uncertainty,
“We have information that the masterminds of the violence in Wukari are bent on spreading this violence to other local government areas of the state, such as Takum, Zing and Kurmi, with the sole intent to create discontent using religion to perpetuate chaos and lawlessness.
The chairman further blamed the violence in Taraba  on “selfish overlords of lawlessness and impunity who have usurped peoples right and privileges for generations.”
Ardo said the  Taraba APC chapter as a law-abiding  organisation had never resorted to self-help or incitement of violence even when the PDP was declared was awarded undeserved victory.
He admonished all aggrieved people to seek redress through the established processes for adjudication established by the Electoral Act and the country’s constitution.
He appealed to supporters of APC in Taraba to remain calm and law-abiding.
