Eva Carneiro put her Chelsea woes behind her on Wednesday as she married her polar explorer partner in London, though there were no Blues players in attendance.
The Gibraltar-born former Chelsea doctor tied the knot with partner Jason De Carteret in Soho, though only one-time Stamford Bridge backup keeper Mark Schwarzer was there to represent her old employers.
Jose Mourinho is channelling his inner Grandpa Simpson, Nemanja Matic and Eden Hazard are among the best men, and Arsene Wenger – the Special One’s arch rival, of course – has teamed his trademark caterpillar coat with a dog collar to conduct the ceremony.
Carneiro is currently suing Mourinho for constructive dismissal and has yet to reach a settlement with Chelsea, and remains without a job after leaving Stamford Bridge.
She was dropped from first-team duties at the start of August for going on to the pitch to treat Eden Hazard, enraging Mourinho.
An employment tribunal hearing is set to take place early next year, though, right now, that will be the last thing on her mind.
